Last Update vor 6 Monaten
To strengthen your account security, FHLM Equip requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This guide covers all available MFA options, including setup, usage, troubleshooting, and support information.
1. Trusted Device
The “Trusted Device” method allows you to skip MFA prompts on devices you regularly use. Once a device is marked as trusted, MFA will not be required unless browser data is cleared, or trust is manually revoked.
Setup Instructions:
- During the MFA setup process on FHLM Equip, choose “Trust this device” if you’re logging in from a familiar, secure device.
- Note that if your browser’s cookies are cleared or reset, the “Trusted Device” setting will need to be enabled again.
How to Use:
- After setting a device as trusted, you can log in without being prompted for additional MFA verification on that device.
- The trusted device option only applies to the specific browser you’re using, so you may need to re-authenticate on other browsers or devices.
Troubleshooting:
- Trusted Device Not Recognised: Ensure browser cookies are enabled, as clearing cookies may reset this setting.
- Security Note: Avoid using the “Trusted Device” feature on public or shared computers to maintain account security.
2. Email Authentication
Email authentication sends a one-time code to your registered email address each time you log in.
Setup Instructions:
- Ensure your email address on file is current by checking your profile settings.
How to Use:
- At login, select “Email Authentication.”
- Check your email inbox for a code from FHLM Equip (emails may take a few moments).
- Enter the code in the MFA prompt to access your account.
Troubleshooting:
- Delayed Emails: Occasionally, emails may be delayed. Wait a few minutes, and ensure the email is not filtered into your spam or junk folder.
- Invalid Code: Codes are time-sensitive. If a code expires, request a new one and try again.
- Email Update: If you no longer have access to the registered email, update your profile with a valid email or contact support.
